We provide an in-house sound technician. We do not allow artists to bring in their own tech or do their own sound.

SET TIME:

Artists are contracted for a 90-minute set plus possible encore or two 45-50 minute sets with a short break. This is non-negotiable.

MERCH:

The artist keeps 100% of merch sales. The 443 provides three covered 4′ tables, two pegboard backdrops, wooden hangers, mannequin forms, and CD and vinyl holders. The artist sells.

HOSPITALITY:

Food and drink are complimentary to performing artists, except for single malt scotch and allocated bourbons. NOTE: We do not have a full kitchen. We offer a selection of appetizer-type items, you can find our menu HERE. We have a full bar plus a wide range of non-alcoholic options, including coffee and tea.

We do our best to take excellent care of our artists, but please understand our room fills up in a 30-minute window. Everyone arrives at once, and our focus has to be on the guests because we have a limited time frame for selling food and beverages. You may have to wait for your complimentary cocktails until we get everyone settled.

We have a table next to the stage set aside for the band, and we recently acquired space in our basement for a green room.

LOAD-IN: 

Load-in and sound check should be coordinated with our tech Dave Kane. Soundcheck must be completed by the time doors open to the public.

PARKING:

There is a small parking lot on the right side of the building reserved for visiting artists. However, the easiest place to park for load-in/out is on the street right outside the front door, especially if you have a larger vehicle and/or a trailer.

TICKETING:

The 443 will set up online ticket sales using Eventbrite and at the door if available. The cap is 75 people for a seated show.

GUESTLIST:

Your guest list should be submitted when we advance the show a week prior to your performance. We are unable to accommodate guest list requests that come in after the show has sold out.

PROMOTION:

We believe that marketing your show in our room should be a collaborative effort. If you roll into Syracuse and end up playing to the bartender and the door guy, that’s no fun for either of us. We want your show to be successful so we can have you back.

We will create physical posters to hang in the venue as well as graphic images for social media. The 443 will create the Facebook event and add the artist fan page as a co-host. The show will be actively promoted via Facebook (including paid ads), Instagram and our email subscriber list. We also submit our shows to area online entertainment calendars.

We expect the artist to promote the show on his/her website, Bandsintown page, and social media channels. You should send invitations out from the Facebook event to your fans in the area and actively engage within the event. Boosted ads on Facebook and Instagram make a big difference too.

PAYMENT:

Payment will be made to the artist at the conclusion of the show via business check.
